Unusual Ngaju Dayak mask. The carved and polychrome painted wood mask representing a brightly painted proboscis monkey with highly anthropomorphic features. Used primarily at agricultural rituals, masks such as this were also used during funeral and curing ceremiones. Mounted on a contemporary stand.
